Calling all Pre-teens! We have one of Edmonton hottest Events with Dj Feminessence spinning todays hottest hits and mixes (Clean Versions) at our up and coming Pre-teen Dance for ages 11-15. Dance Craze Pre-Teen Dance will be held at Dance Code Studio located downtown close to Oliver Square.

There will be no outside beverages or food allowed into the dance studio as a Concession will be on hand for your child to purchase drinks and snacks. There will also be Security, Photo Booth, Gaming Room and coat check for your child's convenience.

The Edmonton Jazz Festival Society is set to host its annual benefit event,
Spring Spectacular, an evening of unforgettable jazz featuring Juno-award winning singer
Emilie-Claire Barlow and the Edmonton Jazz Orchestra. Tickets for Performance only are $40 + service fees, Tickets for Dinner are $135 + service fees.

The Spring Spectacular will provide guests with the option of attending solely as a concert-goer or, to add a dinner component to their evening, enjoy a three-course meal before the show. The event offers many elements for patrons including both live and silent auctions. All proceeds of this event will be used in support the EJFS outreach initiatives, including: Jazzworks Workshops, Jazz In Schools, Edmonton Jazz Orchestra, and the Edmonton Jazz Collective. These initiates were developed by the Edmonton Jazz Festival Society to promote jazz in the community as well as support developing musicians.

Recommended for children between 4 and 10 years old, Once Upon A Star tells the musical story of a young boy named Joey and his trip through the solar system with his new friend Vega the star. Joey and Vega visit each planet and together discover some of their properties and how different they are from each other. They also find out what it means to be a good friend.
Children will be given worksheets to fill out and colour during the concert or afterwards at home. The sheets include word games, matching games, definitions, and opportunities to draw and tell their own stories.
The concert will begin with a brief instrument demonstration to introduce the three woodwind instruments in the trio. Kids will have a chance to hear each instrument separately and learn about how the sound is made on them.
