Concluding the summer festival season in Edmonton is Sobeys Symphony Under the Sky. The 2009-2010 season of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra (ESO) begins on Monday, September 14th, 2009, as the orchestra welcomes internationally acclaimed baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky to the Francis Winspear Centre for Music. Hailed as one of the great voices of his generation, Mr. Hvorostovsky will join the ESO and Music Director William Eddins for this extraordinary season opening Gala performance. In this brilliant orchestral event, Edmonton concertgoers will have a rare opportunity to hear the expansive and sophisticated voice of this world-renowned opera singer.
