Jul 01 13 days of innovation and creativity at Sir Winston Churchill Square, June 19 - July 1, 2009.
Featuring the best in art, design, digital media, performance and interdisciplinary work are showcased alongside traditional visual art. Downtown retail spaces, public buildings, parks and plazas are transformed into galleries showcasing local, national and international works. Visitors can also participate in artist lead workshops and seminars, all for free.
The Works features family-oriented programs, Artist at work demonstrations and hands-on workshops. Original art is for sale in the Street Market, live music is performed on the Street Stage and visitors can enjoy the international tastes offered at the Food Street.

This year, the festival is getting a totally new look and will be held in the fall at various locations of the Old Strathcona neighbourhood.
