And if a full day of music and art isn’t good enough on its own, it's free! You can walk into Giovanni Caboto park, browse the art tents, get your child’s face painted, grab a bite to eat, check out the local shops for some gelato, and enjoy the sun as you sit on the green grass and watch the live entertainment.

Edmonton chante is a music event that has been presented in Edmonton for the last 5 years. This year, the festival will be held in the fall at various locations of the Old Strathcona neighbourhood. An impressive range of concerts will take place in many bars, restaurants, bistros and lounges. Francophone and bilingual artists from all over the country will be performing.

The Albert Blain Performers Aid Society presents Edmonton's 2nd Annual Alexander Keith's Celtic Festival featuring: Stephan's Green, McCuaig, The Fables, Skull Duggery, Maura Hagan, Strathcona School of Highland Dancing Celtic Fusion Illusion, Mudmen and Rawlins Cross. Gates Friday, Aug. 14th at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 15th at noon. Hosted by Andy Donnelly, host of CKUA's Celtic Show. Tickets $30 per day from Ticketmaster (780-451-8000). Free admission for children under 12. The show takes place at the amphitheatre in Hawrelak Park. Beer tent, Arts and Crafts and food vendors will be onsite.
