Sep 03 to Sep 06 The summer festival season ends on a suspended high note with your Edmonton Symphony Orchestra filling the river valley skies with the sound of music. Symphony Under the Sky returns for its 16th annual outdoor music festival at Hawrelak Park from September 3rd – 6th, 2010. The always charming conductor Bob Bernhardt returns to lead the orchestra for his fifth consecutive year. With special guest artists Karen Gomyo and Jim Witter, guest conductor Claude Lapalme, and Edmonton’s own Knock School of Irish Dance, the ESO’s concert repertoire will range from Celtic to Canadian, John Williams to Elton John, and Bach to Brahms.
Sep 15 to Sep 21 VisualEyez was developed to create opportunities for artists and audiences to experience and interact with performance artists. This interdisciplinary, trans-media, paradigm-busting event focuses upon performance and time-based art. VisualEyez is the only annual festival of performance art in Canada and it brings together over fifteen artists from Canada and the world to Edmonton for ten days of cutting edge and innovative programming. Sep 23 to Oct 02 Edmonton chante is a music event that has been presented in Edmonton for the last 5 years. This year, the festival will be held in the fall at various locations of the Old Strathcona neighbourhood. An impressive range of concerts will take place in many bars, restaurants, bistros and lounges. Francophone and bilingual artists from all over the country will be performing.
This event aims to showcase French music in accessible places. Over the week, two or three free concerts will be presented in each location.
Sep 24 to Oct 02 For nine days and nights, movie fans and filmmakers from across Canada and around the globe gather to eat, sleep and breathe all things cinematic! With an emphasis on "discovery", EIFF presents a fascinating mix of feature-length films, documentaries and short films gathered from all corners of the world.

TBA Exposure uncovers, highlights and celebrates queer arts and culture. The festival, now in its third year, exposes queer artists to new audiences, and exposes Edmonton audiences to new art in a variety of media.
TBA This year, the 5th Annual Festival goes from 11 AM to 10 PM on June 7th, 2008 and held in Giovanni Caboto Park at the corner of 95th Street and 108 Avenue. This is a grass roots, all original music day in the park.

TBA 13 days of innovation and creativity at Sir Winston Churchill Square, June 19 - July 1, 2009.
Featuring the best in art, design, digital media, performance and interdisciplinary work are showcased alongside traditional visual art. Downtown retail spaces, public buildings, parks and plazas are transformed into galleries showcasing local, national and international works. Visitors can also participate in artist lead workshops and seminars, all for free.
The Works features family-oriented programs, Artist at work demonstrations and hands-on workshops. Original art is for sale in the Street Market, live music is performed on the Street Stage and visitors can enjoy the international tastes offered at the Food Street.

TBA Canada’s premier cross-country ski event features a 55-km point-to-point course from the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, along Elk Island National Park and through the scenic Blackfoot Recreation Area. The festival begins with the Opening Ceremonies and ends with the Vikings’ Feast.

TBA The Highlands Street Festival features 112 Avenue businesses, as well as artisans, crafters, jewellers, local businesses, musicians and a small garden market. New to this year's event is the Highlands Community League Rummage Sale, an interactive art project behind Wheelworx, and a silent auction with proceeds in support of the 2011 Highlands Centennial Beautification Project.
