This recreation centre offers personal training for top conditioning through boxing and kickboxing offered by pro athletes. They will help customers burn fat, increase stamina, relieve stress, improve strength and gain confidence.
Vertically Inclined gives climbers of all ages and abilities a chance to work on their moves without worrying about the weather. At any given time, visitors will see climbers of all ages clambering up and down the various indoor routes. Lessons are also available. $14.75 Adult day pass, $24.75 with gear; $11.99 Student day pass, $21.99 with gear; $9 Kids day pass, $15 with gear. Located at the University's city centre campus, this facility provides students and staff, as well as the public with recreational, fitness and wellness services. Services include a gymnasium for basketball, volleyball and badminton, four international-sized squash courts, aquatic centre and a fitness centre. There is also a deli on site. One of the best equipped recreational facilities of any university in Canada, the Van Vliet Centre houses the Steadward Centre (formerly the Rick Hansen Centre) a specialized fitness centre for the physically disabled, two indoor swimming pools plus gymnastics and weight training rooms. The Universiade Pavillion (known as the Butterdome) contains full-scale facilities for track and field events, as well as a large indoor running loop. Located in the east wing is the Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic, opened in 1988.

This year-round golf practice facility features 52 driving range stalls, a practice putting green and sand trap, two computerized golf simulators which let you play world-famous courses and an 18-hole mini golf course. Restaurant and pro shop. Daily 9 am - 11 pm.
This year-round public facility— accredited by the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology — features five swimming pools, two running tracks, the Keltie Byrne Fitness Centre and raquetball, squash, tennis, badminton and volleyball courts. Mon to Wed & Fri 6:30 am - 10 pm, Tues & Thurs 6:30 am - 8 pm, Sat & Sun 10 am - 9 pm. Drop-in rates available.
This outdoor recreation facility in northeast Edmonton has an outdoor pool, sports fields and picnic sites.
A multipurpose recreation facility located in the County of Strathcona, it contains a wave pool with beach entry; 10-lane, 25-metre pool, whirlpool and sauna, indoor soccer surface, twin ice arena and indoor fitness track. Also, a number of family/special needs changerooms. Daily 6 am - 11 pm.
Offering activities that will suit anyone, facilities include 5500 sq. ft. fitness centre, wave pool and on-deck whirpool and sauna, raquetball courts and indoor playground.
